Professional Quantity Surveyor

About the position

Our client is seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join their team, based in Centurion.

Successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and financial management of construction projects. This will include preparing cost estimates, monitoring project budgets, and negotiating with suppliers and contractors.

Minimum Requirements:-

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Valid SACQSP Registration & Good Standing
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Construction industry

Duties:-

• Directorship of new small to medium multi-disciplinary professional practice in-house to a large property portfolio
• All work stage roles and responsibilities associated with a Principal PQS from inception to completion & FM handover
• Multi-discipline project AEC systems development alongside BIM Manager
• Principle agency and project management with value and programme management
• Budget and life cycle planning & implementation

Skills:-

• Senior Consultant / Client QS position held in private SA firm for a minimum of 5 years
• Commercial & industrial use greenfield, refurbishment & construction projects
• Principal agency and project management
• Directorship & Business administration
• Professional multi-disciplinary team management
• Building contract administration
• Practical industry knowledge experience and mentorship abilities
